This engaging half-day camp, designed for our youngest campers, is all about creativity, exploration, and fun! The Junior Day Camp is based out of SSSAS’ Reggio Emilia-inspired JK and Kindergarten classrooms, where our experienced and highly-trained staff of early childhood teachers create a magical summer experience in a safe and nurturing environment.

At Junior Day Camp, young campers will engage in various enrichment activities such as arts and crafts, building, puzzles, story-time and singing. Campers will also spend plenty of time outdoors exploring the various playgrounds, playing in the water, and building with Imagination Playground block sets. In addition to thoughtful educational and recreational programming, we also focus on helping our campers develop appropriate social, emotional, and life skills such as empathy and self-sufficiency.

Typical Daily Schedule:
Arrival at 8:30am
Hands-on activities in the classroom
Circle time and read aloud
Outdoor play
Snack
Water play
Dismissal at 12:00pm

For those campers who sign up for multiple sessions, Junior Day Camp explores different themes every week to ensure our campers have the opportunity to tackle new activities and adventures throughout the summer! Some example themes are: Zoo-topia, Cosmic Zone, Bug’s Life, and Our City.

Please note that in order to provide the best possible experience for each child, campers must be three years old and toilet trained before the start of camp. Please also note that Summertimes does not provide Morning Care or Extended Day for Junior Day Camp.

The Summertimes Junior Day Camp is led by SSSAS Lower School Teacher, Mrs. Anne Kelly (formerly Choi).  Please contact Mrs. Kelly with your questions at akelly@sssas.org
