Physics is Fun Camp
Rising Grades 5-8
9:00 a.m- 3:00 p.m.
Middle School Campus
Why is physics so much fun? Because it is taught using bikes, Hot Wheels cars, yoyos, bocce balls, gyroscopes, balloons, jump ropes, helicopter launchers, water blasters, boomerangs, Frisbees, skateboards, pogo sticks, gliders, see saws, marble runs, tops, pendulums, super balls, electronic toys, rockets, and hula hoops!
Physics is Fun Camp is an exciting science camp based on the philosophy that through the use of toys, games, and fun activities, campers can learn and understand basic principles of physics such as energy, motion, heat, light, and Newton’s laws. In addition to using toys and sports equipment, campers will construct different models of real-life devices such as roller coasters and windmills to learn how they work. We will also challenge campers with activities like having egg drops, designing marshmallow catapults, and building Rube Goldberg devices. Throw in a round of Mouse Trap, and the week is complete!
Physics is Fun Camp is led by SSSAS Middle School Science Teacher Robert Davis. Please contact Middle School Science Teacher Mr. Robert Davis with your questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
